The In-Home Behavioral Specialist (IHBS) provides numerous essential support services to clients and their caregiver/families. At The Village Family Services an In-Home Behavioral Specialist (IHBS) may be known as a Rehabilitation Specialist, Rehab Specialist, Child & Family Specialist, In-Home Support Counselor, Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist.

The IHBS, using a team based approach, is responsible for providing direct rehabilitative mental health services to clients with severe emotional and/or mental health challenges. Utilizing the Core Practice Model (CPM) principles, the IHBS will support clients primarily in the home with intensive, individualized, strength-based, and needs driven intervention activities that support the engagement and participation of the client and significant support persons. The IHBS is an integral part of the support team, assisting the client to develop skills and self-sufficiency to achieve the goals and objectives of the care plan. Clients may be in the custody of the Child Welfare Department, Probation, removed from families of origin, in the process of adoption, or in transition to independent living programs.

The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department. The ideal candidate would possess excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills and maintain confidential information. This position will also serve as a back-up receptionist as needed. Responsible for human resources activities including maintaining personnel files. Duties assigned relating to the administrative component including, policy and procedure updates, typing, e-mail, and other clerical duties.

The Grants & Government Affairs Manager is responsible for managing the organization's engagement with government entities at the local, state, and federal levels in collaboration with the Vice President of Development. This position plays a critical role in acquiring and managing government-funded funding, such as grants and contracts, cultivating and maintaining relationships with public officials and agencies, and advancing the organization's policy and advocacy priorities. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and persuasive communicator with experience in public funding and government relations.

The Staff Accountant will be primarily responsible for performing various professional accounting duties including maintenance and analysis of accounting records, preparation of schedules, reports and financial statements: prepare journal entries and reconciles ledger accounts; ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and organization’s policies, procedures and contracts. The Staff Accountant reports to the Fiscal Compliance Supervisor and supports the accounting department in providing financial reports to managers, board, and other staff members.

The Accounts Payable Specialist provides support to the accounts payable department and performs accounts payable functions and/or any finance/accounting related project assigned by supervisor.

A Social Worker is responsible for the supervision of the treatment plans for the children on his/her caseload. As a Social Worker you will be responsible for working with the child, foster family, natural family, significant others, placing agency, and adjunct treatment persons to enable the child to attain his or her treatment goals. The position requires that the individual be knowledgeable of, and be in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations of the client population served and the programs provided. The individual must have the ability to work effectively with others, manage personnel and program matters as they apply to the position.

Problem Solving (also known as “Diversion” or “Rapid Resolution”) is a crisis response philosophy and approach focused on supporting individuals and families experiencing a housing crisis to quickly identify and access alternative housing resources outside of the homeless crisis response system. By practicing active listening skills through creative conversations. Problem-Solving supports the individual or family in crisis to identify viable temporary or permanent housing resources within their own networks or resources, such as family or friends. In select cases and as a last resort, limited and one-time financial assistance can enhance an individual or family’s success in rapidly connecting to alternative temporary or permanent housing.

The Intensive Care Coordinator provides numerous essential support services to clients, and their caregivers/families. At The Village Family Services an Intensive Care Coordinator (ICC) may be known as a Client Care Coordinator, Facilitator, Case Manager, Customer Care Coordinator.

Responsible for assisting with the transportation of unaccompanied children to and from designated locations (typically from airports to a pre-designated site to meet with the child and the child’s sponsor)

The Clinical Supervisor is primarily responsible for providing clinical and administrative supervision (e.g., client oversight, case consultation, timecard approval, productivity reports) and support for any mental health, linkages, or other adjunct services provided in collaboration with any department or program within the agency including MH, FFA, ISFC, Residential, Drop-In Center, Adoptions or other administrative as needed.
